APPLICATION:
- It is a multifunctional food additive, responsible for the characteristic color and flavor associated with cured meats and at the same time providing protection against growth and toxin formation.
- Anti- corrosion properties, sodium nitrite is used as a coolant in the thermal energy storage for large air conditioning systems and industrial refrigerator plants.
- Used as raw material for the making of nitrocompounds, azo dyes as mordant for textile dyeing, as metal thermal treatment agent, as electro-plating corrosion inhibitor etc.
