SODIUM ALGINATE FG

Sodium alginate food grade (FG) is widely used in the food industry as a thickener, stabilizer, gelling agent, and emulsifier. It's a versatile ingredient derived from brown seaweed and is known for its ability to modify food texture, improve stability, and enhance water-binding capacity.

·         Dairy Products:

Sodium alginate is a common stabilizer in ice cream, yogurt, and other dairy products, improving texture, preventing ice crystal formation, and reducing ingredient separation.

·         Bakery:

It's used in bread icing, pastry coatings, and as a gelling agent for fillings in baked goods.

·         Confectionery:

Sodium alginate is used in jellies, jams, and other confectionery products to create gels and improve texture.

·         Beverages:

It acts as a thickener and stabilizer in beverages like juices and milk drinks.

·         Sauces and Dressings:

Sodium alginate helps thicken and stabilize sauces, dressings, and ketchup, preventing separation and improving consistency.

·         Meat and Seafood:

It can be used in meat and seafood products as a binder and for creating edible films for packaging.

·         Other Applications:

Sodium alginate is also used in canned goods, instant noodles, and as a component in edible films and coatings.
